Hi, I’m Theresa Bourgeois, I live in Monticello, Minnesota and I’m retired, but I do refinance closings part time.
 
I’ve always been a yo-yo dieter; I’ve probably tried every diet you can think of.  I’ve always been athletic to some degree, but never really enjoyed exercising – it was a chore that I had to do.
 
The last 5 years I was working with a trainer for Silver Sneakers. I guess I always felt I couldn’t do this or couldn't do that and I might hurt myself or get sore. My trainer listened to me and was cautious. I had a sore back and a sciatic nerve problem.

My new trainer, Jenny ( my niece) at  Snap Fitness told me that I can work at getting stronger and that the pain will go away. It did; I just worked through it. My back became stronger as did my sciatic nerve.
 
Right now, I’m the strongest I have ever been and I’m addicted to exercise.  I don’t hurt anymore and I feel great! Strengthening my muscles has given me the confidence I needed to move forward and accomplish more difficult exercises.
 
The MyZone Effort Points (MEPS) were a great incentive to keep me motivated, wanting to do more and more. The challenges have also inspired me to do better and get stronger. The small group training classes at Snap FitClub are so encouraging because everyone is working together for the same results. I love the music too. If someone is killing it-it makes you want to be like them and work harder. What kept me coming back was my trainer Jenny who kept the class interesting with new and more challenging equipment to work with, the challenges, my MyZone belt, and my team were also very motivating and seeing the results was inspiring.
 
Since I’ve started the Challenge, I’ve lost body fat of 6% and I gained lean muscle mass of 6.23% and I lost 2.6 lbs. I’ve also gotten off my Cholesterol medicine which is a huge bonus. 
 
I’m 67 years old and feel I’m in the best shape I have every been.  Who knew???
 
I wish I would have started this years ago, there would have been no yo-yo dieting for me.
 
Back in September, I never thought my back, legs and arms would be this strong. Now I can actually feel strength in whatever I do, whether it's swimming, biking, gardening, bootcamp, or weight training.  The list can go on and on; you name it you can do it easily.
