Kelly Majkozak,

People's Choice Winner Rogers

Kelly's Transformation Story

My name is Kelly Majkozak. I've lived in Rogers for the past 6 years. I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom to four active, athletic boys. I'm also a Shipt Shopper whenever I can find a spare minute.

After having children my body changed in almost every way. What used to work to bounce back from pregnancy wasn't working anymore and it was like I didn't even know my own body anymore. I do not have time to rest. In a house of boys, silence is not golden unless the sun is down and I know everyone is in their bed. I knew I had to find a way to get back in shape so I could keep up with my boys! I had to find something that would be longlasting and not just a quick fix.

Before FitClub, I felt tired and didn't have a lot of energy most of the day. A new friend I met in my neighborhood, Bert, went to this gym where they had group classes. She spoke very highly about her experience so I was intrigued and maybe even a little excited to try it out.

After that first class, I felt exhausted and sore but the overwhelming feeling I had was pride! I couldn't wait to do it again. When I met with Luke, my first Results Coach, I learned things I didn't know about fitness and nutrition. I've only worked out at one gym before FitClub but I always felt like a number in that gym.  FitClub made me feel like part of a team. FitClub makes me feel important and included. I've made really good friends there and I get excited each morning to get up and come to class.

Over the course of the past year I've lost 18lbs,  gained 0.6 lbs of lean mass and lost 17.2 lbs of fat! I used to have a love/hate relationship with food. I thought I had to starve myself to lose weight. Since I've been at FitClub I've learned quite the opposite. I learned how to eat the right things and when to eat them. I learned that muscle helps burn fat and strength training along with cardio is really good for my body. I've never been this strong. My kids are happy that their mom plays tag and climbs the monkey bars at the park with them.

My advice for anyone wanting to start their fitness journey is just "Start", and take it one day at a time…you'll be glad you did!
